Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry (7th to 12th grade)
Perhaps more than any other age group youth face difficult challenges in their lives. They undergo emotional, physical, and indeed spiritual changes as they become adults. We are committed to helping our young people become all that God would have them to be. We are convinced that our youth need to be taught biblical principles enabling them to make right decisions. A goal of the ministry is to give our young people biblical tools that will enable them to be transformed in a world that is increasingly hostile to the name of Christ. As our believing youth are sanctified, they will be able to stand firm under the pressures of college life and subsequently impact the world for Christ. We also are aware that many youth are not believers and as the Word tells us to do we preach the gospel that they might hear and be saved. Opportunities for our youth to meet together for fellowship and teaching are as follows:

Sunday School
  - Sundays at 9:30 a.m.
The Youth of Providence are taught the bible through verse by verse exposition and other studies.

Youth Discipleship
- Sundays at 5:00 PM
Our Youth are excieted about starting a Youth Choir where they will learn some of the theologically sound hymns of our faith and spiritual songs that teach the character of God this semester. We also teach various topics or go through differing bible studies. Examples of previous studies include, "Growing up Christian", "I Kissed Dating Goodbye", A study on Creation, etc.

Youth Activities
At various times during the month, the youth will meet for fellowship. Activities include trips to places like Carowinds and Frankie's Fun Park; a host of retreat opportunities; and a variety of community events.
